Apple Mac App Store Now Has Over 10,000 Applications

Apple Mac App Store has today crossed 10,000 applications milstone. There are over 10,000 applications available in the Mac App Store. This milestone achievement was observed by French Apple Site MacGeneration who has been monitoring Apple Store content for analysis. 

Apple launched the Mac App Store in January 2011 and has quickly moved to offer its own major software titles through the marketplace, however comparing Mac App Store with iOS Store we see a huge difference. iOS Store on one side has over 600,00 applications where as Mac App Store has 10,000. By observing the growth rate of Apple, we can expect a strong growth in the Mac App Store too.

Apple is also planning to launch Mac OS X Mountain Lion this summer and we can expect a strong growth in Mac App Store immediately after the release.
