iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak Release - Pod2G Conducts A Poll
Pod2g, the jailbreak developer who is behind developing Absinthe jailbreak for iPhone 4S has been active on twitter this week by sharing the updates related to iOS 5.1 untether jailbreak release. Apparently, Pod2g has achieved a successful untether jailbreak for iOS 5.1 which works on iPhone 4S too. Earlier this week Pod2g tweeted that untether jailbreak for iOS 5.1 is almost ready and the only challenge is to bypass Apple's ASLR ( Address Space Layout Radomization ) . Then yesterday Pod2g tweeted that iOS 5.1 untether jailbreak release could be delayed for a month or two because of lots of effort that is required to put in, in order to release a stable 5.1 jailbreak.
The latest tweet from Pod2g is different. He wants the iPhone, iPod and iPad users to vote on a poll that has been posted on his blog. The poll seeks the opinion of general public whether to release iOS 5.1 untether jailbreak or to hold it for the release of iOS 6. So far, 57,000 users have taken the poll and out of total, 56% of users were with the opinion that the jailbreak should be released asap for iOS 5.1.
