Absinthe 2.0 iOS 5.1.1 Untethrered Jailbreak Releasing Today - Prepare Your Device

The following instructions will help you to prepare your device for Absinthe 2.0 untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1. If you are an iPhone user who relies on software unlock like ultrasn0w, do not follow these steps, wait for redsn0w or sn0wbreeze to install a custom firmware. Remaining iPhone , iPad and iPod users can follow the below steps to upgrade their devices to iOS 5.1.1 for Absinthe jailbreak.
Step 1 : Download the latest version of iTunes
Step 2 : Download iOS 5.1.1 firmware for your device
Step 3 : Backing Up iPhone - iPad - iPod User Data
Take a backup of your iDevice data. Install the latest version of iTunes that we downloaded in Step 1. Once installation is complete, launch iTunes.
Step 4 : Connect your iPhone, iPod, iPad to the computer and wait for it to appear in iTunes.
Step 5 : Once iTunes lists the device, right click on it and select the option 'Backup'
Step 6 : Updating iPhone - iPad - iPod To iOS 5.1.1
Once Backup is complete, update your device by holding (Alt in Mac) (Shift in Windows) and click on the ‘restore’ button then point it to iOS 5.1.1 you downloaded in step 2. iTunes will now update your device to the latest iOS 5.1.1 firmware.
Step 7 : Restoring your device from the backup:
Connect your device back to the computer and select the option, restore from backup. Select the latest backup from the lists of available backups. iTunes will restore your device to the latest backup.Step 8 : Your iDevice should be on iOS 5.1.1.
