Absinthe 2.0 Jailbreak Waiting For Process To Complete Error Fix
Chronic Dev-Team has just released the new jailbreak tool for iOS 5.1.1. Absinthe untethered jailbreak for all devices. The jailbreak woks on all devices including iPad3, iPad2, iPhone4S and the remaining earlier devices. The jailbreak tool is now available and can be downloaded from the download page here
Seems like some users are having trouble when jailbreaking their devices. The error that some users are facing is "Waiting For Process To Complete" A quick turn around for this error would be to perform a clean restore on your device from iTunes. Once you perform a clean restore, you can try jailbreaking your device again using Absinthe 2.0 and it should work without any errors.
If you are already on Tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w, don't run Absinthe. Simply launch Cydia and search for Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 untether and install it and your device will get untethered jailbreak.
Update 1 : User @dawerji83 was able to successfully jailbreak his iPhone4S after performing a clean restore via iTunes. If you are facing the same error 'waiting for process to complete', simply restore your device from iTunes and then retry jailbreaking and it will work.
Step 3 : Click on restore if you don't have iOS 5.1.1 firmware downloaded in your pc. If you have already downloaded iOS 5.1.1 then hold down (shift key) for windows and (alt key) for mac and click on the restore button.
Step 4 : Show the path where you have downloaded the iOS 5.1.1 firmware and then click on restore.
Step 5 : Wait for iTunes to restore your device.
Step 6 : Once your device is successfully restored, launch Absinthe and click on jailbreak.
That's it!
Update 2 : Those who are still unable to fix the issue can try the command line tutorial here
Update 3 : Chronic Dev-Team has pushed an immediate update to fix minor bugs and errors. Download Absinthe 2.0.1 to fix all errors
Update 4 : Absinthe 2.0.4 Released To Support iPad2,4 Jailbreak

i am still facing this problem.. :(
if error try rebooting device and computer and try again, or try on another computer and reboot phone, or restore phone
thanks a lot!!!!! :)
Works! Tnx!!!
Do a clean restore from iTunes and Activate the device in iTunes (as opposed to on the device itself). Then run Absinthe and that does the trick for me at least.
try 7~8 times already, but still meet the problem that "something seems have gone wrong..."in the waiting for process. i have try on 2 different computer and 2 different itune...
@binbin Zhao : Like @Carl said put your device into dfu mode and then restore through iTunes and perform a clean restore
guys, i know how to do it , trust me
waste a little bit time to restore again , i know it annoy
1 . restore again ( dun lazy )
2. once done , don,t touch anything but absinthe only
3. click jailbreak
4.work ?
I have tried all of the above and it still will not work for my iPad 2 16gb WIFI
iPhone 4 GSM on Windows 7 after a clean update to 5.1.1 from 5.0.1:
Absinthe Log:
* Beginning Jailbreak, this may take a while.
* Sending initial jailbreaking data, this may also take a while.
* Sending final jailbreaking data, your iPhone4 should appear to be in restoring mode. This may also take a while.
* Waiting for reboot. Not done yet - don't unplug your iPhone4
* Waiting for process to complete...
[This step freezes for some time (the Springboard is already loaded and the phone can be used normally, NO restore mode and NO Cydia).]
* Hmm... something seems to have go wrong... trying to recover
* Recover completed. If you want to retry jailbreaking, unplug your device and plug it back again.

absinthe is a fake...
iphone 4s 5.1.1 gevey ultra s
erased all settings and data
when i hit jailbreak it comes the activation screen and the absinthe program is on waiting for reboot.
i tried many many times.Sometimes the phone is rebooted but when is wake ...again waiting for reboot..no catia...nothing on the phone...
you know what..
no one said that this jailbreak is working...this is true fake..don;t even try
It finally works!! Thanks.
After hours of trying, it worked for me to do a restore with iTunes, activate it through itunes (don't even unlock the phone at the device) and then run absinthe immediately following the itunes activation (with itunes still open, in fact).
One other note -- if you see the restore bar on the phone go across it is likely working. I hadn't seen that the umpteen other times I tried it (before doing the iTunes restore/activation)
