Pod2g, the jailbreak developer who has been working on untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 on all devices including A5 iPhone4S, iPad2 and iPad3. Pod2g earlier announced that he has achieved a successful jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1 on his iPad 3. Today, Pod2g made a post on his blog talking about the frequently asked questions by fans and followers on Twitter and via email. Here is what he wrote.

I receive lots of questions either by email or twitter about the 5.1.x untethered jailbreak.

Here are some answers :
Q) The poll about releasing now or waiting for 6.0 ended with a 64% / 33% to release ASAP. Where is the link ? ETA ? How much % done ? etc.
A) As I said earlier in twitter, there's still a lot to do to have a user friendly and well tested tool to install the jailbreak on end users devices. Expect a release in a couple of weeks.

Q) Will it be compatible with my <any random iOS device> ?
A) It will be compatible with any device running iOS 5.1.1 except ATV3 (right now, may change in a near future, nobody knows).
Yeah, I said _any_ , which means yeah <your iOS device>.

Q) Why is it so slow to release now that the iPad 3,1 has been demoed ?
A) There are 16 different devices out there to work on and to test. It takes time.

Q) May I be a beta tester ?
A)No, sorry. Only really trusted people (that can be counted on one hand) could have access to the jailbreak. I don't want any leak to happen.

Q) What if I offer you 1,000,000$ ?
A) That doesn't change a thing.

As you can see, seems like pod2g is getting a lot of trolling fans who want to jailbreak their device. Pod2g says that jailbreak tool for iOS 5.1.1 will be released in a couple of weeks as there is a lot of work involved in making a user friendly untethered jailbreak tool . Pod2g also confirmed that his untethered jailbreak will work on all devices including iPhone4S, iPad2 and the new iPad3 except for Apple Tv3 which I'm sure Seas0npass will take care of. Talking about the delay in releasing an untethered jailbreak, Pod2g said that there are 16 different devices that his jailbreak tool should work perfectly on and this requires a lot of testing. Many twitter fans also ask Pod2g if they could be a part of the beta testing team but Pod2g denied saying that only trusted people can have access to the jailbreak to avoid any leaks like that of Shatter exploit of Chronic Dev Team which was leaked and Apple patched it even before it could be released. Lastly Pod2g denied any monetory offers saying that even if he's given a Million Dollar, will he be willing to release the jailbreak soon or let anyone be a part of the beta testing team for untethered jailbreak.

Lets hope that Pod2g releases an untethered jailbreak soon so that we can jailbreak our A5 devices, iPhone4S, iPad2 and iPad3.
