With iOS 6 updates notifications in iTunes and alert messages on iPhones and iPads and iPods, most of the iOS users have already updated their devices to the latest iOS 6 firmware that was released earlier this week. For many it was excitement to receive the iOS 6 update but for many users who rely on jailbreak the iOS 6 update was an accident. Although chpwn has confirmed that he was successful in jailbreaking iOS 6 there is no ETA on the public release of the jailbreak.

Wish you could go back to iOS 5.1.1 ? Well there is a way. You can downgrade your iOS device, iPhone, iPad and iPod from iOS 6.0 to 5.1.1 on the condition that you have your device's SHSH blobs saved. The below guide will help you downgrade iOS device firmware from 6.0 to 5.1.1. Its highly recommended for every iPhone, iPad and iPod user to take a back up of shsh blobs if they want to be able to downgrade their device firmware in future. If you havent already taken the backup of your device shsh blobs, follow the steps posted here

Step 1 : Download iOS 5.1.1 for your device

iPhone Firmware
iPad Firmware
iPod Firmwares

Step 3 : Put your device into DFU mode

Instructions To Enter DFU mode
  1. Connect your device to the computer and Switch off your device
  2. Press Power button for 3 seconds
  3. Without releasing the power button, press and hold the home button for 10 seconds.
  4. Now release the power button but continue holding the home button for 20 seconds.
  5. You are in DFU mode now.
Step 4 : iTunes should pop open with an alert saying that "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode" - This is supposed to happen.

Step 5 : If you are a windows user, press the shift key and then click on the restore button. If you are a Mac user, you need to hold the option key and then click on the restore button.

Step 6 : iTunes should pop open a window for you to browse the iOS 5.1.1 firmware file. Locate the firmware downloaded in Step 1 and proceed.

Step 7 : Sit back and wait for iTunes to verify the firmware with Apple servers and then restore your device to iOS 5.1.1.

Once the restore is complete, iTunes will restart your device and you should now have iOS 5.1.1 running on your device. Downgrade successful.

Apple has officially announced iOS 6 and made it available for all the supported devices on 19th of this month. Users who have not yet downloaded the firmware and updated the device can go head to the download links below to download iOS 6.

If you rely on jailbreak then you should stay away from iOS 6 until the jailbreak community gives a green signal to upgrade your devices. Those iPhone users who rely on ultrasn0w unlock should NOT UPDATE their devices. Upgrading iPhone though iTunes will result in upgrading of baseband that will eventually lose the unlock forever. Below are the download links for iOS 6 that includes over 200 new features.

iOS6 Beta2 Released - Redsn0w Updated To Jailbreak iOS6 Beta2

iOS6 Beta2 Released - Redsn0w Updated To Jailbreak iOS6 Beta2
Apple has pushed an update to iOS6 Beta by releasing the next version, beta2. If you are an Apple developer, you can log into your Apple developer account and then access the iOS page to download and install iOS6 on your iDevice. iOS6 fixes some known bugs and there are certain compatibility patches. There has been no significant change in iOS6 beta 2 compared to beta 1.

Having said that, iPhone Dev-Team has announced an update to Redsn0w to jailbreak iOS6 Beta 2 along with a bug fix that caused SSH problems and crashes with apps that users have been reporting. If you are a developer or if you already have access to iOS6 and would like to jailbreak your device, you can download and use redsn0w 0.9.13dev2 which is the most recent update. Jailbreaking instructions are quite similar and if you are unaware of how to jailbreak then you should probably stop reading this post and should never install iOS6 beta on your device because you might be risking your device.  If you are wondering how to jailbreak iOS6 beta2, all you have to do is to point redsn0w to iOS6 beta 1 and this will help you get a tethered jailbreak. REM : This version of redsn0w is a tethered jailbreak which means every time your device restarts, you will not be able to return to the lockscreen and will get stuck on the Apple boot logo until you connect your device to redsn0w and run tethered boot.

iOS6 brings many new features to iPhone and iPad and the most amazing feature of iOS6 is that it will have 3D TomTom maps instead of Google maps, we have already seen the preview of 3D maps during Apple's world wide developer conference (WWDC2012) that was held during June 11-15 inviting developers around the word to share the future of Apple. Another major improvement was seen in Siri, which has now become smarter, and wiser. Siri can now talk about sports and with the help of various mergers and partnership, Siri will also show the movie reviews and will rate the restaurants based on their service. During the launch, it was mentioned that iOS6 has over 200 new features that are interactive and will enhance the user experience as Apple always wanted.

iOS6 Maps Ported To iPhone4 3D iOS6 Maps Running On iPhone4

iOS6 Maps Ported To iPhone4 3D iOS6 Maps Running On iPhone4

About iOS6
iOS6Maps3DenablerThe best release of WWDC 2012 was the iOS6 which brought over 200 new features including major updates to Siri, Maps and Mail application. Apple is planning to release iOS6 along with iPhone5 during September along with the iPhone5. Although we are excited about iPhone5 release, we are more infatuated towards exploring the the iOS6 that will be running on the iPhone5 along with iPad3, iPad2, iPhone4S, iPhone4, iPhone3GS and iPod Touch 4 and 5. We have already discussed few features of iOS6. We are also going to make a comprehensive list of almost every new feature of iOS6.

iOS6 Maps
Talking about iOS6, how can we ignore the most noticeable change in Apple's next operating system for smartphones and tablets. Apple has taken it war with Android by removing Google Maps from iOS6 and by adding native mapping application which will feature a new 3D innovative method of navigation and getting directions for your destination. 3D maps can save a lot of your time by allowing you to have a direct view of where you want to go instead of showing street names. iOS6 maps are deeply integrated into Siri so you can ask siri for directions to a certain place and siri will pop open the maps application and once you select the route, you get turn by turn voice indications so you reach your destination safely. The best thing about the new iOS6 maps is the live traffic monitoring. Suppose you are on a route that has 25mins ETA, iOS6 maps will automatically update the ETA in case of any traffic or accident on that route. That's simply amazing!
iOS6MapsPortedToiPhone4
iOS6 Maps Running On iPhone4
German website, iguides has posted a video demonstrating iOS6 maps successfully ported on iPhone4. The Russian developer, Anton Titkov (iTony) was able to download the files that are required for iOS maps and ported them on to an iPhone4. Its definite that certain features of iOS6 maps would not work on older devices like an iPhone4 because of the limitations in processor task handling. Tony has created an application called 3DEnabler that will allows 3D rendering on iPhone4 so iOS6 maps can be fully functional on iPhone4 as well. It seems to work pretty well in the video. lets have a look:

How To Get iOS6 Maps On iPhone4

Here are the instruction on how to get iOS6 maps on iPhone4 running on iOS6. Yes that's correct. You need to be on iOS6 to run Maps. The instructions are quite complicated for a noob. You need to have basic know-how about SSH. We have not tested this and do not take any responsibly in what soever way.

Step 1 : Download the following .deb file that will install the iOS6 maps application files that are necessary.

Step 2 : For SSH, enter: apt-get update after update, enter:apt-get install mobilesubstrate via FTP then load the deb file to your device via SSH and enter:dpkg-I putkfaylu / nazvaniefayla Do respring or reboot.

Alternate Method:
Step 1 : Open notepad and add the following in it "http://apt.iguides.ru"

Step 2 : Save the new file as "iguides.list

Step 3 : Download 3DEnabler from iguides repository apt.iguides.ru

Step 4 : Launch SSH console and  enter: apt-get update after update, enter: apt-get install com.alpden.3denabler

iOS6 Beta - How To Install iOS6 Beta On iPhone iPad And iPod

iOS6 Beta - How To Install iOS6 Beta On iPhone iPad And iPod

iOS6betainstallation

Apple has annonced iOS6 the newest operating system for iPhones, iPads and iPods. The new iOS will be officially released for public in september hopefully with the new upcoming iPhone5. iOS6 is currently avaialable for developers to download and install them over the devices to check the new features and to integrate their apps with the new features and also to update their apps to the newest operating system. If you are a developer, you can simply head to the downloads section to download iOS6 beta along with iTunes as the existing iTunes will not support iOS6 beta versions. If you are not a developer and would like to install iOS6, you should probably know few things before installing the beta iOS:

  • It is not complete, it has many bugs and glitches.
  • There is no official jailbreak for iOS6 beta
  • Cydia is broken and most of the apps and tweaks won't work
  • The system keeps crashing indicating that there is no stability
  • If you rely on software unlock, you'll probably lose it forever

It can be considered critical and foolish to install iOS6 Beta on your device if its the only device you have. However, if you have a device for testing, then you can install the new iOS6 beta. To be able to use a beta iOS, you must register your device's UDID. This is a unique 16 digit device identifier that needs to be registered in order to activate the iOS. There are many paid as well as free sources to get UDID registered. I'll not be talking about it as it is covered by NDA and anyone who's distributing such resources is actually pirating.

How To Install iOS6 Beta On iPhone iPad iPod

Step1: Download iOS6 and iTunes from Apple developer account.

Step2: Take a backup of your device. You can do this by connecting your device to iTunes and after you see you device listed on the left side in iTunes, right click on it and select the option 'Backup my device' This will backup your data.

Step3: Now hold down shift key and then click on restore.

Step4: iTunes will pop open a window and all you need to do is point the folder where you have iOS6 beta downloaded.

Step5: iTunes will begin updating your device and once it is, your device will start up with iOS6.

iOS6 Jailbreak Announced Tethered Jailbreak - Musclenerd Jailbreaks iOS6

iOS6Jailbreak

Apple released its most awaited iOS6 with loads of new features including major updates to Siri. Very soon after the announcement of iOS6, beta links for iOS6 went live for developers so that they can test their applications over it. The beta download links for iOS6 are limited to developers only and not everyone can download and install it on their devices as it requires the UDID to be registered.

Its not been complete 24 hours that musclenerd from iPhone Dev-Team has announced on twitter that he has managed to jailbreak iOS6 on iPod Touch 4G. The jailbreak is currently tethered and won't be released any soon as it is still in the initial stages of development. Musclenerd also mentioned that many applications are currently broken in this tethered jailbreak for iOS6 including Cydia, Mail etc.

Here is what Musclenerd said :
Here's ioreg of my tethered-JB ipt4g 6.0: http://is.gd/1qOwvW ..MANY things including Cydia are broken, don't expect beta JB for a while!

iOS6-Features-Devices

The day has finally come, its just a matter of hours when Apple's WWDC will begin. World Wide Developer Conference is the annual meet where in developers across the world can join Apple to know about the future of Mac and iOS and Apple. The event also invites new developers for iOS by rewarding them for best design. It is the event where in Apple announces the upcoming software upgrades. This year is going to be amazing with the announcement of iOS6, the world's most advanced mobile operating system.

We have already shared images of Apple's WWDC 2012 and iOS6 Banners that we being setup in San Francisco venue where Apple's WWDC kicks start from Tomorrow. There are many speculations and rumors about the features iOS6. We though it would be better to compile all the features together and present it so that it will be easy for you to follow. The most speculated rumor about iO6 is adding widgets on the homescreen and better Siri integration in applications.

iOS6 Features - Speculations And Rumors

Better Maps : The first rumor about iOS6 was that Apple is planning to get rid of Google Maps and 3D maps. Apple's decision to expunge Google maps from iOS6 will definitely affect the relationship between the two companies. As we speak, this is not speculation and there are some evidence to back this up and the source is very strong. The new maps in iOS6 will also feature 3D rendering that will allow users to navigate easily.
iOS6-Maps-3D

iOS6 Silver/Gray Theme : Earlier it was rumored that Apple is likely to change the current blue theme with Gray and Silver. This rumor turned into reality when Apple released WWDC app for this year. The app is in think Silver color indicating iOS6 will have the same silver color instead of blue. This sounds exciting.

iOS6 Facebook Integration : Just like the twitter integration in iOS5, it has been speculated that iOS6 will have full Facebook integration in apps and camera gallery so that you can easily share photos and videos on facebook.

iOS6 Better Siri : Users are expecting more from Siri like better integration into applications so that you can handle operations simply by asking Siri to do it. Siri is still in Beta development stage and we are expecting the final version of Siri to be released with improved features. It is also rumored that Apple might integrate Siri into iPad3 as it has the same specifications like that of iPhone4S, infact iPad3 is better than iPhone4S in every way.

Do Not Disturb Notifications : It has been rumored that Apple is planning to add a feature in notification center that will allow users to disable notifications. This might be helpful to uses when they are going for a meeting or when they are in a meeting or when you are playing games you can simply disable the notifications by toggling in the settings.

iOS6-Features

Enhanced iOS6 Mail App : Apple's iOS6 will feature an enhanced UI for the native mail application for iPhones and iPad. New features are supposed to be included in the mail application.

These features of iOS6 are based on rumors and speculations but some of these are confirmed to be there in iOS6. Apple will be announcing iOS6 tomorrow during the World Wide Developer Conference that will be held in San Francisco from 11-15 June. This year's WWDC is going to be very exciting with the rumors of apple announcing New MacBooks, iPhone5 and with the launch of iOS6. iOS6 To Bring Siri On iPad - Apple To Add Siri For iPads In iOS6

iOS6 To Bring Siri On iPad - Apple To Add Siri For iPads In iOS6

iOS6-SiriSources reveal that Apple is planning to add Siri for iPads in iOS6. Siri, the most powerful artificial assistant to be integrated in iOS6 for iPads. Currently Siri is supported only on iPhone4S and can be ported on all other devices running iOS 5 + using Spire or spite. However there was no such official announcement from Apple to add Siri support for iPhone4 and iPads.

Many questions were raised when Apple announced that Siri will be limited to iPhone4S only. As iPad2 has the same configuration and technical specifications so it should have been released for iPad2 too. Siri still running in beta development stage would probably launch with iOS6 which is expected to release during world wide developer conference that is to happen in June.
Siri on the iPad is activated by a quick hold of the home button, just like on the iPhone 4S. The interface slides up from below the display with a clever animation. Siri is built into the iPad as a small window on top of whatever interface the user is currently interacting with. This Siri window with rounded corners sits at the bottom center of the display, as you can see in our mockup above. The Siri iPad interface takes very little space over the iPad interface currently in use, and is designed with the same linen texture as on the iPhone 4S. Siri for iPad also works from the lock screen. - Mac Rumors
It is also rumored that Siri might be limited to the new iPad3 which again is a bad news for iPad2 customers. We'll be updating more on iOS6, iPad mini and iPhone5 release during world wide developer conference. Make sure you subscribe to our feed to stay updated with the latest news.

iOS6 To Feature Fully Integrated Facebook Just Like Twitter Integration

iOS6 To Feature Fully Integrated Facebook Just Like Twitter Integration

With World Wide Developer Conference date closing by, more and more rumors are appearing about the release of iOS6 along with next generation iPhone5. The most recent rumor is about facebook integration into iOS6. According to sources, iOS6 will have complete facebook integration just like iOS 5 has integrated Twitter in the system. The integration would be deep enough that users will be able to like applications and suggest applications on facebook with their friends. The iOS6 facebook integrtaion would be similar to that of twitter when it comes to sharing pictures over facebook with few taps. Similarly, the integration would be made possible just like that of Twitter's by using a single sign on in settings.
Apple-iOS6-Release
Apple is expected to release iOS6, iPhon5 and iPad mini during the world wide developer conference WWDC2012. It should come as no surprise that apple would be releasing atleast 2 of the above mentioned as the rumors are building stronger with every leak of images and minute details of iOS6 are appearing. After doing a simple research in iOS, its very clear that Apple is about to release a new device which could be an iPad or an iPhone.

All we can assure you people is, amazing WWDC2012. This will be the first world wide developer conference where the new Apple CEO Tim Cook will lead the event. With Tim Cook's promising performance, its very likely that Apple's growth will continue to set new milestones just like it was during the days of Steve Jobs.
