Apple’s All New Lightning Connector - Everything You Need To Know

Apple’s All New Lightning Connector - Everything You Need To Know

lightening-connector-iPhone-5-30-pin-1

The new iPhone 5, along with the new iPods, comes with a new connector that Apple has named the Lightning connector. This 8 pin connector is much smaller than the previous 30 pin connector that Apple has been using for the past decade or so. This big yet subtle change in the dock connector will directly affect all those who already own any of the Apple devices and of course those who purchase the new ones. If you happen to want to use your Apple accessories for the new iPhone 5, you will have to buy an adapter. The other alternative is to purchase the new accessories that are coming out in the fall for the new ions devices.

New Lightening Connector From Apple

According to Apple, the new connector has some serious benefits to offer :
  • The reduction in size (by an exact 80%) means that Apple gets the chance to fit many more components into the brand new better than ever iPhone 5
  • The connector is reversible, so you need not worry about which is the right side to plug in.
  • The data flow will be faster with the new cable.
  • The change is quite annoying for a number of existing Apple customers. Buying a converter will cost you $30 at least, and the lightning/ USB cable comes for $20. But, in all fairness, this measure is not a way to force people to buy something new; Apple has been pretty consistently merciless in term of adopting the latest and chucking out outdated technology.
Apple will make a bit of benefit on its new sales of course. The accessories market for iPods, iPads and iPhones pulls in a significant percentage of revenue. According to some estimates, Apple purchased accessories worth $2-$3 billion in fiscal the previous year. Moreover, much of the accessories mad by Apple, such as adapters and cables, are pretty much pure profit considering they cost very little to make in the first place.

The new dock also means that some of the third-party accessory manufacturers get opportunities to sell new docks, cases, chargers and all kinds of accessories that are connected via the port at the bottom of the iPhone/ iPod.  These accessories will become available with major brands such as Bowers & Wilkins, Bose and JBL around the holidays.

Therefore, the new iPad is the only Apple device of the current generation to be using the 30 pin connector. This will obviously change soon, since any move made by Apple with one device rolls out to the others as well.

iPhone 5 Headphones Leaked - Apple Redesigns iPhone5 Ear Phones For Better Quality

iPhone 5 Headphones Leaked - Apple Redesigns iPhone5 Ear Phones For Better Quality

As the iPhone 5 release is closing by, more and more leaked images are starting to appear. Earlier it was the front panel of the upcoming iPhone5 and now it is the earphones of the shiny Apple device. It appears that Apple has completely redesigned the headphones of iPhone 4S successor by changing the entire technology and physical appearance. That's why we think that it has been redesigned.

The design of the new headphones seems quite innovative with proper shape to fit into ears and sound speakers so that the sound reaches your ears directly and does not go into the atmosphere which is otherwise the case of the current head phones. They seem quite similar to plugins but in a redesigned state. It is not clear if the head phones are original or leaked but if these are indeed genuine then there is no point in arguing that the sound quality will be amazing and quality of the earphones as always will not be compromised.

There was a 2 min video about these headphones but unfortunately the uploader has changed the settings of the video and it can no longer be viewed. We still have the screenshots to share.

iPhone 5 vs. LG Optimus 4X HD Comparing iPhone5 With LG Optimus 4X HD

iPhone 5 vs LG Optimus 4X HD Comparing iPhone5 With LG Optimus 4X HD

iPhone 5 - real - imageslg optimus images

Gone are days when you use your mobile phone only to make calls and send and receive SMS to and from your contacts. Now, mobile phones are getting smarter than ever. They can have extended features through apps easily accessible and installed from the online market. We use smart phones not only for playing games but also for surfing the web, reading eBooks, listening to music, organizing task lists and locating an address among others. Tons of smartphones have boomed in these past years, and prepare again to be mesmerized by two of them. In this article, we will tackle a standoff between the soon-to-be-launched iPhone 5 and LG Optimus 4X HD.

Review Items

1. Processor Specifications Rumor has it that the iPhone 5 will be fitted with an A6 quad core processor with a speed of up to 2.0 gigahertz. This quality performance speed upgrade is not only expected to improve the response speed of the smartphone. Also, it will enhance the battery life now that it would have four processors to use up. In comparison, LG's Optimus 4X HD is equipped with a quad core Cortex-A9 setup clocked at 1.5 gigahertz. This configuration is based on Nvidia's Tegra 3 chipset with a Geforce ULP GPU. Both devices are blisteringly fast, giving users a smooth experience in handling apps even heavy on graphics and multimedia.

2. Operating System The Apple iPhone 5 may most probably run with the latest software, the iOS6, featuring a fourth-generation long-term evolution to give a speedier mobile internet connectivity and data transfer rate. Advantages for users are clearer and crisper voice and video calls. This updated operating system may as well incorporate 3D imaging capabilities, giving more excitement to users. Not quite matching for equivalence is version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS of the Optimus 4X HD. LG’s contender runs on this latest version of Google's Android. Expectation is that it will have greater stability and will inhabit an additional strong point which is the quick-app switcher control for multi-tasking.

3. Design The iPhone 5 will have a four-inch screen size display, while the LG Optimus 4X HD has a bigger screen size of 4.7-inch. Its large size does not entail to the device being better. On the contrary, users who are not used to holding bigger phones in one hand may protest for its bulkiness. Guys who don’t carry bags but put their handheld devices in their jeans pockets might be forced to carry a pouch for it. It is still unsure if the iPhone will be clad in a curvaceous or boxed outer design. However, its measurements would most likely be 122.4 x 64.3 x 8.6 MM and its weight would be 144.6 grams. LG’s handset will have rounded edges and a minimalistic textured back panel, measuring at 131.8 x 68.3 x 9.7 MM and weighing about 145 grams.

4. Camera The two smartphones here each has great camera specifications. They both have an astounding 8 MP back-illuminated sensor with a 3264 x 2448 pixel resolution, LED flash. The camera is capable of geographical tags, autofocus of the subject with touch, and face and smile detection capacity. Apart from this, they also have a secondary camera for the video calls. The iPhone 5 wins in this round for its 5MP front-facing camera versus LG Optimus 4X HD’s 1.3MP camera.

5. Memory Storage The LG Optimus 4X HD and iPhone 5 both are capable of holding up to 1 GB of RAM. The LG smartphone is limited to having only one model with 16 GB internal memory, while the iPhone 5 will have three assortments: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The LG device compensates its loss as it can accommodate a micro SD cards that can support up to 32GB of memory.

Verdict Smartphones have taken all over the world by storm. People of all ages are eagerly anticipating for their next releases and speculating over the upgraded specifications and enhancement constantly. In the world of technology, the brand and model ruling over the market cannot be pretty much assumed because innovations and creativity in the advancement of features can go extremes. Based on these review items though, the iPhone 5 indisputably wins.

i-phone-5-Apple-image

Sources have revealed that Apple has started the production of the new iPhone5 is planning to release it during the August-September as always. Apple's new iPhone5 will make a huge difference as the competitors have already released strong and promising products that are going to make a difference in how the new products succeed.
My reliable Chinese sources told that, new iPhone has started manufacture phase, then "iPhone 5 cases" are being leaked at Alibalba.com. This source told also, "iPhone 5" which had been leaked in May were prototype (via 9to5Mac) for design test, and producing new iPhone has several different design in detail. - Makotakara
We have already discussed that Apple's new iPhone 5 will have a redesigned display with larger screen and more of aluminium and glass suggesting Apple's commonly designed mac books. All we can say it, we are gonna have to wait for the release of iPhone 5 to fully understand the design and specifications of the device. Apple is likely to launch the iPhone5 on August 7th

iPhone5 Back Panel leaked Video Appears - iPhone5 Bigger Than iPhone4S

iPhone5 Back Panel leaked Video Appears - iPhone5 Bigger Than iPhone4S

iPhone5-back-panel-video
Yesterday we shared the leaked specifications of the upcoming iPhone5 which might be revealed in fall this year. Today we are sharing the video of the new iPhone5 back panel which clearly suggests that Apple is making the next iPhone bigger than the existing models to compete with the android phones which have huge displays. The leaked back panel suggests 5 major changes that Apple is going to make in the upcoming iPhone5:
  1. Bigger Screen
  2. Ultra Micro Sim Card Tray
  3. Bigger Speaker for better sound
  4. Smaller charging port
  5. Headphone jack moved to bottom
The video is pretty clear and the above mentioned changes can easily be observed and one more thing that is different with the iPhone5 back panel is that the headphone jack is placed in the bottom just like it is placed in iPods. The size of the screen would be 4" inch and it looks pretty impressive if compared with iPhone4. Lets have a look at the video:

Video Of iPhone5 Back Panel

The iPhone4 screen size is 3.5" inch where as the iPhone5 back panel that we have suggests 4" inch screen which is very exciting to have an iPhone with a bigger screen. Apart from the screen the iPhone4 has back panel that holds the battery and then there is a middle casing that holds the screen. There is no middle part in iPhone5. There is only the back plate that will hold the battery and then there is the screen, there is no space for the middle case. One more thing, the new iPhone5 will be slimmer that the iPhone4S but the difference is very negligible.

iPhone5 To Have 4.08 Display - Apple iPhone5 To Launch This Year

iPhone5 To Have 4.08 Display - Apple iPhone5 To Launch This Year

With just few days to go for WWDC 2012 to begin, rumors are at peak to about new products launch that Apple could be launched this year during the developer conference. We have already discussed the expectations and rumors that have already built up. You can check the list of products which Apple might release this year during the world wide developer conference.

The latest and most rumored product that Apple might release is iPhone5. Sources reveal that the next generation iPhone will feature a 4.08 inch screen with Retina Display with a powerful resolution of 1136 x 640 and will have a brightness of 500-nit. This news of iPhone5 having a 4.08 inch screen is confirmed to be true. Seems like Apple has finally agreed to move a step ahead to take on with its android competitors with huge screens. The turning point for Apple is the Retina Display which has the highest resolution.

iPhone5 Retina Display Resolution 1136x640

iPhone5-Display-4.08
The bigger screen would mean application developers will have to work on their apps for them to appear full  screen otherwise iOS will automatically letterbox them that would show black bars in the sides of the screen.
A larger iPhone5 will have a different screen resolution, the the same horizontal resolution of 640 as iPhone4S will help minimize re-developmental cost. If developers don't want to adapt software for iPhone5, the App can still successfully show on the screen except for the blackened areas on two flanks. However, this won't prevent the App from functioning the way it's supposed to. If developers device they want to make the necesssary amendments to make things look good, the cost will be kept to a minimum because of the same old horizontal resolution of the iPhone.

iPhone5.com Acquired By Apple, iPhone5-Apple's Next iPhone Launch

iPhone5.com

Earlier we reported that Apple had filed a complaint to gain control over iPhone5.com domain which was at that time a forum for iPhone5 rumors and news. Seems like Apple finally got control over iPhone5.com as the site content has been pulled and there is nothing on the page. Having said that, it is very likely Apple's next iPhone would be iPhone5. There have been various rumors about shape and size. Here's the screenshot of iPhone5.com before Apple taking over.

iPhone5.com apple

Similar rumors where at peak before the release of iPhone 4S, there were many rumors that Apple will name the iPhone as iPhone5 while some where of the opinion that the name would be simply iPhone 4S. Eventually the name turned out to be iPhone 4S. The same thing happened with the new iPad. People thought that the name for the next generation iPad would be iPad 3 but it turned out to be 'The New iPad'. Now that Apple is on its way to release a new iPhone, the speculations and rumors have started all over again. People now think that the name for the new iPhone would be simply 'The New iPhone' inspired from the original iPhone. Below is the Whois information about iPhone5.com domain.

iPhone5.com whois

If the rumors are to be believed, Apple will be launching iPhone5 this year and the phone would have a bigger 4 inch screen and display and will feature the same metallic and glass body. It has also been rumored that Apple would be launching iOS6 during the world wide developer conference that will be happening in June this year.
